De gemeente Utrecht startte vorig jaar een proef met deelfietsen bij treinstations. Het idee: reizigers konden na hun treinrit eenvoudig doorreizen op de fiets. Maar uit een evaluatie na zes maanden bleek dat 80% van de gebruikers buurtbewoners waren, die de fietsen voor korte ritjes pakten. Slechts 12% was treinreiziger. De wethouder gaf aan dat dit niet aansloot bij het doel van de proef en stopte het programma.
